What a fantastic day out on the water with Jonathan Tanner at South Padre Island, Texas! The weather was perfect - partly cloudy throughout the day, which made for comfortable fishing conditions. The water was great, and we were excited to get our lines in and see what the fish were biting.We started the day with some sof plastic fishing, working the deeper waters for big reds and black drum. The Crevalle jacks were really fired up, putting up some great fights on our light tackle. As the tide shifted, we switched to some slower, drift fishing, and that's when the spotted seatrout really started to turn on. Jonathan was hooking into fish left and right, and we had a blast working the flats and cuts for those speckled trout.By the time we wrapped up the trip, we had a nice mixed bag - some nice redfish, black drum, Crevalle jacks, and plenty of spotted seatrout. It was the perfect blend of different techniques and species, keeping us on our toes and giving us a well-rounded experience.
