One for the books today! Eric and I had a fantastic time fishing the South Padre Island area. The fishing here is great - I've caught huge redfish and trout. With partly cloudy skies and the possibility of strong storms, we set out at 6:30 am for our 5 Hour (AM) Bay Fishing Trip with Today We Fish Charter and Adventures.With our gear rigged and ready, we focused on live bait fishing, surf fishing, and light tackle fishing techniques. The Speckled trout were biting well, and we landed several in the 16 inch range. The Redfish were also cooperative, putting up a great fight. These species are perfectly suited for the South Padre Island area, and we had a blast targeting them.While we didn't stick a trophy on this run, every cast and minute on the water was worth it.
