South Padre Island, Texas in April is a prime time for fishing, as the waters are warming up and the fish are becoming more active. My buddy Steve Gaczynski and I headed out this morning for a 5-hour fishing trip with Today We Fish Charter and Adventures, and it turned out to be a great day on the water.We started the day jigging and drifting, covering different depths to find the fish. It didn't take long before the rods started bending, and Steve was into some nice Seatrout. The fish were hitting the live shrimp aggressively, putting up a good fight. The light tackle made for an exciting battle, and Steve was all smiles as he landed each fish.The weather was perfect - partly cloudy throughout the day, with great water conditions. We had a blast working the different techniques and sharing stories as we waited for the next bite.
